EUR 1,400 a month for 7 to 24 months in Germany while you remain registered for your doctorate in Egypt, plus insurance, travel for up to three journeys, a EUR 460 research allowance, and travel and accommodation for the supervisors' visits. The doctorate is awarded by your Egyptian university (sandwich model) or jointly by both (Cotutelle). The real bottleneck is securing the German co-supervisor — start that outreach 4-6 months out.
