EUR 1,400 a month for up to four years of a full doctorate in Germany, plus an annual research allowance of EUR 460, health/accident/liability insurance and a travel allowance. German public universities charge no doctoral tuition, only a semester contribution. NOT a cold-apply route: you must first secure either a supervision confirmation from a German supervisor or admission to a German doctoral programme — budget months for that outreach before the deadline.
