France has been teaching the world for eight centuries — from the Sorbonne’s lecture halls to the elite Grandes Écoles. It offers serious scholarship money (Eiffel, campus programs) in the middle of Europe’s cultural capital.

Studying in France — what to expect

Theory-first and proud of it: lectures, written exams, and a culture that treats debating ideas as the point of education. English-taught programs exist, but basic French transforms both your grades and your daily life.

The French warm up through conversation — share an opinion about anything and watch the formality melt. Learn the greetings, respect the lunch hour, and you’ll find real loyalty underneath.

Student life is subsidised everywhere you look: university restaurants, transport discounts, museum access. The real choice is Paris energy versus the calmer, cheaper regional cities — students praise both.
