Scholarships in Saudi Arabia for Egyptian & Arab students 2026/27

Explore fully funded and partial scholarships in Saudi Arabia for Egyptian and Arab students — Bachelor's, Master's and PhD — plus tuition costs, the proof-of-funds figure the visa officer checks, student-visa fees and the embassy interview. Every deadline confirmed on its official source before it is published.

Saudi Arabia is the scholarship-first destination: seats that cover tuition, housing and living, inside a country mid-transformation — with the Two Holy Mosques closer than they’ve ever been.

Studying in Saudi Arabia — what to expect

Universities are seriously funded and visibly ambitious — KAUST publishes with the world’s best. Most public campuses teach men and women separately; the systems around that are mature and well-run.

Karam — hospitality as identity — is real: expect invitations, gifts and genuine concern for your comfort. For an Arab student there is no language wall and no culture shock, only dialect jokes.

Scholarship students live largely expense-free on campus, with an arrival reward in hand and Umrah a bus ride away. The environment is more conservative than Cairo’s — students know this going in, and most call the trade worth it.

What Saudi Arabia really costs

Tuition: Saudi is scholarship-first. Three official tracks: FULL scholarship ("tuition, housing & living — all covered", plus an arrival cash reward and travel tickets per regulations), PARTIAL (a seat, or seat + housing), and PAID self-funded study — which exists, but has no unified tuition table; the only official printed rates are KFUPM’s graduate fees (≈ USD 2,000/semester registration + USD 135/credit). KAUST is fellowship-only: a package worth USD 70–80k/year including a USD 20–30k stipend.

Proof of funds: No fixed amount. The official requirement reads: "proof of financial ability to cover tuition and living expenses, OR a financial guarantee" — and for scholarship students, the scholarship itself is that guarantee. Apply through the official Study in Saudi platform (studyinsaudi.sa).

Student visa: No officially published fee — and third-party sites quote five different numbers, so we print none. Pay only inside the official KSA Visa / MOFA portal (ksavisa.sa), never to an intermediary. The visa is issued on the back of your institutional acceptance; KAUST covers visa costs for its students entirely.
